When interview opportunities arise, Media Girls serve as the face and voice of Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont. The public loves to see our girls in action, and it’s a great opportunity for them to take charge and share the mission of Girl Scouting.
Over the past four years, Media Girls have been on air for local TV and radio stations, participated in newspaper interviews about the Girl Scout program, helped in the promotion of council events and showed off their skills in council videos. Media Girls also have opportunities to learn about and explore the behind-the-scenes of the news industry.
Media Girls participate in trainings so they will be prepared to speak on a variety of topics- from the five key skills that make up the Girl Scout Cookie Program to summer camp options to their favorite Girl Scout traditions.
