Congratulations to Anahi, Abby, Victoria, Kadi, Michelle and Sophie from Girl Scout Troop 40425 of Alamance County on recently earning their Girl Scout Silver Award! The troop put together a career fair for girls in their community, which was attended by several local businesses and institutions like Alamance County Sheriff’s Department, Burlington Pediatrics, Allstate Insurance, Guilford County EMS, Burlington Fire Department and PetSmart. Before the fair, the girls went to a local Service Unit meeting and invited all of the attendees to their event. Not only did the troop put together a successful Career Fair, but they also learned about the values of patience and hard work!

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P), is one of the 111 councils from across the nation that delivers the Girl Scout program, serves nearly 12,000 girls in central and western North Carolina. With the support and guidance of nearly 6,000 volunteers, girls in grades K-12 are given opportunities for fun and friendship, while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem.
