Congratulations to Meredeth from Girl Scout Troop 20124 in Polk County for completing their Girl Scout Silver Award this past year! Meredeth noticed that many trail apps and websites do not usually say whether the hike is appropriate for young kids or elderly people. Because she has a younger sister, she thought it’d be helpful to know if the trail is a good fit before heading out. She developed a Wix website and added a couple of common routes and provided descriptions, ratings, and images about them. After spending some time working with the site, she was able to provide all the information a person or family would need so the hike would be safe for everybody. Way to go!
