Today’s Tips 4.5.21

Weekend of Service is this Weekend!
Weekend of Service is happening this weekend, April 9-11! Have you decided what your good turn will be? You can still sign up for our community service projects on our blog. And don’t forgot to join us on Facebook Live this Friday, April 9 at 6:30 p.m. for our kickoff to the weekend!

Spring Renewal is Happening Now!
Renew your Girl Scout membership now and take advantage of our spring renewal incentives, including a free patch, VIP Experience, troop funds and a special virtual event with Michelle Obama. And remember, this year, all new and lapsed members can renew their membership at the extended year rate of $35.

Looking for a Summer Job? Come Work at Camp!
All three of our resident camps are still looking for staff to help during summer camp this year. Do you have a connection to a college or university career services center? It’s a great way for us to find amazing candidates to fill our summer camp roles.

Know someone who is 18 or older and looking for a summer job? You can find all the information here

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month
April is officially National Volunteer Month, and we are always ready to show our volunteers a little love for all they do for our organization!

How can you say thank you to the Girl Scout troop leader in your life? Maybe make a special treat for your next troop meeting. Team up together with other families in your troop to get them a thank you gift. Have the troop make a video sharing all the reasons they love Girl Scouts and their leader. Or simply send them a thank you card! (Links below for some fun and free designs!)

Our volunteers are important to the work we do each and every day, and they deserve to be recognized and thanked!

2021 STEM Camp Scholarship Opportunity
The 2021 STEM Camp Scholarship Opportunity is hosted by WTS International, an organization working to make a difference in the lives of girls by offering programs and activities that will spark an interest in transportation and encourage the study of science, technology, engineering and math.

This scholarship is open to girls ages 10-17 with a GPA of 2.5 or higher. If you’re interested in learning more about the natural world through math, science or engineering and are enrolling in a camp this summer, you might be eligible! Keep in mind you’ll need a letter of recommendation from a teacher or mentor. To learn more and find the application form, please click here. The deadline to apply is April 16.
