| Volunteer Leadership Conference Our annual Volunteer Leadership Conference open to all volunteers- new and experienced- is happening virtually on Saturday, August 14. This year’s theme is “The Pride and the Promise” and the day will be filled with networking, informative sessions to get you started on the new year and exciting new things coming to Girl Scouts. | Intern Spotlight: Kayla Kessel Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont has been excited to have Kayla Kessel with us this summer as an intern in our Troop Experience department. Kayla is a senior at UNC-Asheville, graduating in December with a major in Psychology and a minor in Neuroscience. Read more about Kayla and her excitement for Girl Scouts on our blog. Save-the-Date for Leaderee The 2021 Leaderee Volunteer Learning Event is a great time for our volunteers to enjoy Keyawee Program Center while they network with other adults, relax and learn new things to share with their troops. Classes for Camp License, CPR and First Aid certification will be available along with other leadership gems! Stay tuned for registration details.  Community Partner Spotlight Come enjoy a night at Burlington Athletic Stadium on Saturday, July 31 and watch the Sock Puppets take on the Johnson City Doughboys.
