Today’s Tips 9.6.21

A Message from Our CEO
On Saturday, September 11, it will be 20 years since the 9/11 attacks. We never want to forget the brave and extraordinary efforts of the people involved that day- from military, first responders and ordinary families just like us.

To commemorate those who lost their lives during the heartbreaking events that took place on September 11, 2001, Girl Scouts is proud to be a part of the National 9/11 Day of Service Coalition. Along with 9/11 Day and a wide coalition of nonprofits and organizations, we hope to rekindle the extraordinary spirit of unity, compassion and service that arose in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 tragedy, when people across the country came together in truly inspiring ways.

Our collective goal is to inspire as many as 100 million acts of service and kindness in tribute to those killed and injured on 9/11, first responders, recovery workers and members of our military community.

We hope that our P2P Girl Scout community will participate with our other Girl Scout sisters in acts of kindness and community service on or around September 11, 2021. You can tag P2P on both Facebook and Instagram and share your examples of service, recognition and remembrance around this day. If you are looking for more resources, information and community service opportunities, you can also visit the 9/11 Day website

Yours in Girl Scouting,

Jennifer L. Wilcox
CEO
