Good Turn for Goodwill Kicks Off October 1

Coming up on its 20th year, Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont and Goodwill Industries will once again partner together for their annual service project Good Turn for Goodwill.

Running October 1-31, Girl Scouts are encouraged to collect bags of gently used clothing and household items to donate to their local Goodwill store. This year, girls are also encouraged collect unwanted electronic supplies- from computers to old cell phones. The collection of these items helps support employment and training programs throughout the Goodwill organization.

Girls who participate in Good Turn for Goodwill receive a patch after the service project is over. To submit your project report and patch order, please fill out this form by November 15. Congratulations to Avery James of Girl Scout Troop 2171 who won our Good Turn for Goodwill patch contest over the summer. We are excited to offer the patch this year with the new and improved design!

For more information on where you can drop off donations and the items accepted, please see the full 2021 Good Turn for Goodwill packet here.
