Today’s Tips 2.28.22

Message from the CEO
Happy Monday, Girl Scouts!

There are so many things going on in our Girl Scout world right now, and I wanted to take a minute to give you several updates.

Last week, we celebrated World Thinking Day- a day where we honor and celebrate the global sisterhood of Girl Scouting and Girl Guiding. Today, we are thinking of our Girl Guide sisters in Ukraine that are hurting. Part of being a Girl Scout is showing compassion and care, and we hope the Ukrainian people will feel that coming- from our council and Girl Scouts and Guides everywhere.

We’ve held two Board Forums already in the Triad and Hickory areas. We had conversation about a variety of topics, including possible NCS discussion topics focusing on mental health and education. We hope you will plan to join us at one of three remaining forums- Thursday, March 10 in AshevilleTuesday, March 22 in Gastonia or virtually on Thursday, April 7

Thank you, thank you, thank you for your dedication and super entrepreneurial skills during this year’s cookie program! The fun officially ends this Sunday, March 6, but I know you will be going strong at booths until the end of March. I can’t wait to see what amazing endeavors our girls pursue with the proceeds they’ve earned by being successful cookie bosses! And as we end cookie season, we get to roll right into March and the kickoff to our 110th anniversary with our Birthday Bashes happening on our camp properties on Saturday, March 12. It will be a great day to bring your whole family and celebrate what Girl Scouting is all about. Make sure you register today– the registration deadline is Wednesday, March 2.

Finally, as we head into spring, we are getting more and more ready to get outside! Summer camp will be here soon, and today is the last day you can register for a week long resident camp session and save $50. Don’t miss the opportunity for these Early Bird savings! We have so many excellent camp sessions planned for your Girl Scout. I can’t wait to see everyone around camp this summer!

I hope you have a great week ahead! Let’s keep the Girl Scout momentum going.
