Get outside and have some fun while earning the Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors patch! Based on your grade level, complete the required number of activities to earn an awesome new patch. You can learn all about the Girl Scouts Love the Outdoors Challenge here.

Come Shop our Saturday Sale on June 18 in Gastonia
The Gastonia Council Shop will be having a Blowout Sale on Saturday, June 18 from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. Specific items will be on sale from 25-60 percent off and new GSUSA items will be on display that can be ordered that day. The shop will also host the “Acorns and Oaks” program from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. This program is open to all ages. We hope to see you there! 

​Save-the-Date for Magnolia Memories
To celebrate our time at Magnolia Manor and to provide an opportunity for girls and volunteers to capitalize on the move, we will be hosting a “Magnolia Memories Day” on Saturday, June 25 from Noon to 4 p.m. Please mark your calendar now to join us for food, fun, amazing sales on Girl Scout merchandise and surprise giveaways. ​

Virtual Summer Start-Up Series 
Do you know someone who is interested in joining Girl Scouts and wants to see what it’s all about? Our Summer Start-Up Troop, which is meeting virtually, begins tonight. It’s not too late to register! You can find more details on our online calendar. ​

Volunteer Opportunities: Camp Thanks-A-Lot 
There are still openings to help with our upcoming Camp Thanks-A-Lot events at one of our three camp properties. Volunteers can sign up for a variety of responsibilities- from being a lunch helper to craft volunteer to even helping at the archery field. All volunteer opportunities can be found on the interest form. Events will run from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., but volunteers will get breaks throughout the day, including time for lunch.

Girl Scouts Carolinas Peaks to Piedmont (GSCP2P), is one of the 111 councils from across the nation that delivers the Girl Scout program, serves nearly 12,000 girls in central and western North Carolina. With the support and guidance of nearly 6,000 volunteers, girls in grades K-12 are given opportunities for fun and friendship, while fostering the development of leadership skills and self-esteem. It is a safe environment for girls to engage in activities while they discover more about themselves and the community around them, connect with others and take action to the make the world a better place.
