| Service Centers & Shops Closed Today Our service centers and shops are closed today, Monday, June 20. Normal business hours will resume on Tuesday, June 21.  Summer Guide is Available Now! The summer program guide is now out! You can have Girl Scout fun all summer long- there is something for everyone! Magnolia Memories Day- June 25 Don’t forget to join us at Magnolia Manor (aka the Triad Service Center in Colfax) as we say goodbye! The day runs from Noon- 4 p.m. and will include giveaways, SWAPS, awesome deals on Girl Scout merchandise and opportunities to buy TONS of program supplies, vintage T-shirts, office supplies, artwork and more! Fill a bag for only $5 or get great deals on larger items! Every attendee to Magnolia Memories Day will get a FREE Italian Ice from Mike & Mike’s Italian Ice. And the Salsarita’s food truck will be on site if you want to grab some lunch! Please note: This will be the last day that the Triad Council Shop is open at this location. Information about the new location and mobile shops happening throughout the area in August and September will be coming soon! Girl Talk- A Workshop for Girls & Adults The Alice Aycock Poe Center for Health Education is hosting its popular Girl Talk workshop on Saturday, July 23. Open to girls in grades 4-7 and a trusted adult, this workshop focuses on the topic of adolescent growth and development and the physical, social and emotional changes that girls experience during puberty. You can find more details here. The registration deadline is July 19. Volunteer Opportunities: Camp Thanks-A-Lot Our Camp Thanks-A-Lot events are running at our three camp properties throughout the summer. Volunteers can sign up for a variety of responsibilities- from being a lunch helper to craft volunteer to even helping at the archery field. All volunteer opportunities can be found on the interest form. Events will run from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m., but volunteers will get breaks throughout the day, including time for lunch. |
