Get ready to build skills in fire safety, camp stove use and creative cooking techniques while making everything from simple snacks to full camp meals!

Ready for more foodie fun? The Golden Spoon Society is a fun-filled club where Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors explore the world one bite at a time! From cooking and baking to tasting new flavors, learning about food traditions and meeting local culinary experts, each gathering serves up delicious adventures, new friendships and unforgettable experiences.
Travel Mode: On
Discover the adventure and wonder of travel! Register for one of our upcoming virtual Destinations events to hear from girls who have participated in both local and far-flung Destinations trips. Learn about the travel opportunities available to you as a Girl Scout and get inside tips on how to fund your travels- like participating in the Fall Product Program to earn Nut Bucks!

Fall Product Mascot Voting Closes This Week
Begin the new Girl Scout year with great programming and the opportunity to raise funds for upcoming adventures! The Fall Product Program starts September 14 and is a great way for Girl Scouts to learn entrepreneurial skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. The Fall Product Program is directed toward friends and family of Girl Scouts and enables troops to earn startup funds for the year by selling candy, nuts and “Magazines & More” items.
In addition to troop proceeds, Girl Scouts who participate can earn Nut Bucks and other reward items. Nut Bucks are credits that can be used on purchases at any of GSCP2P’s shops or camp trading posts, for admission to council events, for summer camp fees and even used to help you travel through council-sponsored pathway trips like GSUSA-sponsored Destinations or GSUSA-sponsored getaways.

This year’s fall product mascot is the Kangaroo! Our summer campers helped to craft a slate of names, but we need your help choosing the perfect identity for our newest Girl Scout friend! Place your vote by September 10!
GSCP2P Wants to Know: Summer Survey Closes This Week
Please take a moment to reflect on your recent Girl Scout experiences by completing our GSCP2P Wants to Know: Summer Survey by Saturday, September 12. Your feedback is immensely valuable in informing the work we do to serve the girls of our council.

Media Girl Applications Close Soon

The Media Girls team is open to GSCP2P Girl Scouts of all age levels. Our season runs from October through May with additional opportunities in the summer. As a Media Girl, you will learn about various careers and discover your strengths and interests through first-hand media experiences. You could find yourself representing our council through tv or radio interview, conducting interviews at Girl Scout events, creating social media content, writing blogs and more! Applications are open now through September 14.
Explore Pilot Mountain
Girl Scouts of all ages are invited to join Girl Scout Service Unit 140 at Pilot Mountain State Park on Saturday, September 19 for a Camping Skills Day! Learn Girl Scout songs and how to build a fire. Pilot Mountain Educational Guides will teach us about biodiversity, invasive species of animals and plants and discuss leave no trace principles. At the summit will be RaptorFest. Girl Scouts can see, but not touch, birds of prey and learn all about them.

More discoveries await! Use our Community Partner Directory to schedule unique experiences for your troop.
