Make a Difference: Highest Awards
The Girl Scout Gold Award, Silver Award and Bronze Award prove you’ve got what it takes to build a better today—and tomorrow. These Highest Awards are designed for Girl Scout Juniors-Ambassadors and feature girl-led leadership and problem-solving. Our virtual Lead the Change: Highest Awards Info Nights are a great way to learn the guidelines, ask your questions and hear inspiring project ideas from past awardees.
Girl Scout Juniors are invited to participate in Build Your Way to the Bronze, a fun learning activity using LEGO bricks to identify different communities you are a part of and brainstorm ways you can make a positive change. Build Your Way to the Bronze Program Check Out Boxes can be reserved from one of our service centers, or you can join us in Greensboro on Thursday, October 29 for an in-person workshop!
Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors are required to attend one of our virtual Gold Award Trainings before their project can be approved.

Girl Scout Carnival and Talent Show

Join us in Granite Falls on Saturday, September 26 for a Girl Scout Carnival hosted by Service Unit 130! Experience an afternoon of fun, food and community with ticketed activities like s’mores, popcorn, face painting, bounce houses and more. Girl Scouts who have a 2026-2027 membership will receive 10 complimentary tickets and special activity vouchers! If you would like to participate in the carnival’s Talent Show, contact the Service Unit Specialist at 980-858-3331.
Bring your friends to show them what Girl Scout fun is all about! A recruitment table will be available onsite.
Babysitter and Business Skills
We are excited to announce that we have expanded our Safe Sitter Essentials classes for Girl Scout Cadettes to include Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors! Babysitting is a popular first job for many Girl Scouts, and this fall we’re bringing a variety of Safe Sitter courses to prepare Girl Scouts with the knowledge and confidence to care for children safely and responsibly!
Ready to be an entreprenuer on the babysitting scene or in another area of commerce? Join us in Hickory on Saturday, October 3 to get a taste of what it’s like to run a successful business at She Means Business! Imagine a life-sized game board where girls become entrepreneurs for a day, making real-world decisions that build leadership and financial skills. Move through stations and take on roles like CEO, Marketing Expert and Sales Superstar!

Help Name Our Fall Product Mascot
Begin the new Girl Scout year with great programming and the opportunity to raise funds for upcoming adventures! The Fall Product Program starts September 14 and is a great way for Girl Scouts to learn entrepreneurial skills like goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics. The Fall Product Program is directed toward friends and family of Girl Scouts and enables troops to earn startup funds for the year by selling candy, nuts and “Magazines & More” items.
In addition to troop proceeds, Girl Scouts who participate can earn Nut Bucks and other reward items. Nut Bucks are credits that can be used on purchases at any of GSCP2P’s shops or camp trading posts, for admission to council events, for summer camp fees and even used to help you travel through council-sponsored pathway trips like GSUSA-sponsored Destinations or GSUSA-sponsored getaways.

This year’s fall product mascot is the Kangaroo! Our summer campers helped to craft a slate of names, but we need your help choosing the perfect identity for our newest Girl Scout friend! Place your vote by September 10!
