| Hickory and Triad Shops Closed The Hickory and Triad Shops will remain closed indefinitely to finish our annual inventory. Please call before coming to either the Hickory or Triad shop location. Gastonia and Asheville shops are open normal hours, Monday-Thursday, Noon- 5 p.m. Volunteer Leadership Conference It’s time to register for our annual Volunteer Leadership Conference happening on Saturday, August 14. This event is virtual and will be a day filled with workshops, networking and celebrations of the past year. You can register for the event here. Once registered, you can select your different workshops for the day. Asheville and Triad CEO Meet and Greets Happening This Week Our Asheville and Triad Service Centers are hosting their Meet and Greets with our new CEO, Jennifer Wilcox, this week. The Asheville event is taking place on Tuesday, August 3 from 6-7:30 p.m. and the Triad event is on Thursday, August 5 from 6-7:30 p.m. You can still register for a timeslot to attend by clicking here. Girl Scouts and Faith Workshop Opportunity Girls ages 10-14 are invited to register for a series of free workshops to learn more about female saints in the Catholic faith and how to model after them in their everyday life. Girls do not have to attend all the workshops, but are encouraged to pick which ones they want to attend. All sessions in this series can be found here.These workshops are part of a Gold Award project by one of our P2P Girl Scouts. 2020 Girl Scout Cookie Dough Expires Soon If you have a girl who earned Cookie Dough during the 2020 cookie season, she has until Friday, August 20 to redeem it. Cookie Dough can be used in our council shops and online, for program fees, camp programs and more! |
| Join Our Media Girls Team for 2021-22! We are looking for girls to join our Media Girls team for the upcoming year. Do you know a girl who wants to help with local TV, radio and newspaper interviews? A girl who wants to sharpen her writing skills by writing guest posts for our blog? What about photography or video skills? We are always looking for ways to incorporate new and exciting images and elements into our social media and council events. The Media Girls program is open to all girls across the council, Daisies through Ambassadors. Those who are interested in joining the program should complete the application by Friday, September 3. Questions about the program can be directed to Sarah Robinson. Fall Product Program- Coming Soon! It’s time to start thinking about participating in our Fall Product Program for 2021! Girls learn and practice the five skills of goal setting, decision making, money management, people skills and business ethics while earning proceeds and exciting rewards to start off the troop year. It’s easy and fun to participate! The program officially begins September 13- stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks! Community Partner Spotlight Girl Scout Cadettes, Seniors and Ambassadors are invited to learn the components of healthy skin at a Clinique Skin School workshop on Monday, August 9.
