Cookie Queens Now in Theaters

Wear your favorite Girl Scout shirt and head to the movies with your troop besties! Join Girl Scouts from across the country as Cookie Queens showcases how the Girl Scout Cookie Program helps girls discover their inner strength, build confidence and develop leadership skills.

Cookie Queens just hit theaters this past Friday, and we have secured a few special screenings for this week. Theaters are filling fast for these dates, but you can also check with your local theater to find screenings that work best for your group. With the excitement surrounding this movie, we highly recommend pre-purchasing your tickets through your local theater.

Babysitter Preparedness

Babysitting is a popular first job for many Girl Scouts, and we’re bringing Safe Sitter courses to prepare Girl Scout Cadettes with the knowledge and confidence to care for children safely and responsibly!

Join us this October for a 60-minute virtual Intro to Safe Babysitting course to build a foundation in child development, childcare routines and behavior management, or meet us in person this fall for the full five-hour Safe Sitter Babysitting Course to earn steps towards the Cadette Babysitting Badge while expanding foundational childcare concepts to include first aid and business skills.

Back to School Fun

Join us next Saturday, August 22 for a Back 2 School Blast in Hickory! Spend the afternoon playing fun games and winning cool Girl Scout gear and prizes. Bring a friend to add to your troop and they can enter the event for free if they sign up for a Girl Scout membership at the door!

Looking ahead to your next break? Join us at Keyauwee Program Center for School’s Out, Camp Out on Monday, September 21, a local teacher workday. Girls can spend the day enjoying classic camp activities like archery, the climbing wall and boating, with lunch provided. Older Girl Scouts can take on leadership roles by guiding younger girls in games, songs and group activities, all while building confidence, teamwork and outdoor skills in a supportive camp environment.

GSCP2P Wants to Know: Summer Survey

As we enthusiastically head into a new Girl Scout year, please take a moment to reflect on your recent Girl Scout experiences by completing our GSCP2P Wants to Know: Summer Survey. Your feedback is immensely valuable in informing the work we do to serve the girls of our council.

Become a Media Girl

The Media Girls team is open to GSCP2P Girl Scouts of all age levels. Our season runs from October through May with additional opportunities in the summer. As a Media Girl, you will learn about various careers and discover your strengths and interests through first-hand media experiences. You could find yourself representing our council through tv or radio interview, conducting interviews at Girl Scout events, creating social media content, writing blogs and more! Applications are open now through September 14.

Know a recent graduate interested in a media career? Our fall marketing internship is still accepting applications for young adults to build their portfolio with our nationally recognized brand. Former Girl Scout experience is not required.

Fall Festivities

Learn all about farming and play along the way! Armstrong Artisan Farm in Walnut Cove is hosting a Girl Scout Day on Saturday, September 5. Get ready for a magical autumn experience with a special scavenger hunt, corn mazes, pumpkin patches, hayrides, petting zoo and more!

More discoveries await! Use our Community Partner Directory to schedule unique experiences for your troop.

Patch of the Month: Passport to Adventure

Create unforgettable memories, learn new skills and explore—all while having fun. This program offers a personalized passport with a “Bucket List” of activities in eight categories. Enjoy adventures with family, your Girl Scout troop or solo. Earn check marks and work towards the exclusive Passport to Adventure Patch
